"That little combo you threw together was incredible, as was the acoustic set during dinner. One could close their eyes and think Stevie Ray Vaughan had come back to life and was playing a little room in Olympia. You no question are one of the finest guitarists I have ever seen, and I have seen hundreds of acts, including Page, Beck, Stevie, Eddie V.H., Santana, Clapton and on and on."

"I've had the opportunity to work with Sean Weaver and his musical gear since he was twelve years old. As both a graduate and professor at Boston's Berklee College of Music, I've seen many musical personalities and careers both flourish and wither.
Sean's musical voyage has been terribly unique, in that at a very young age he was playing with the maturity that an instrumentalist 3 or 4 times his years might possess. The passion was always there, and if a musical form moved Sean emotionally, he was going to nail it.....end of story.
But what was most amazing to me was that everything that motivated Sean came from pure love, with not a trace of ego. I can count on the digits of one hand the number of times I've witnessed that, and still have room to register a few more. I can't even include myself in that number, but I can say conclusively how humbling it is when you witness someone like this...
When I speak about Sean to my musical friends and guitar clients, I usually say he is "drunk in love" with music. Whether it's rolling out a sweet old Chet Atkins arrangement that few have bothered to listen to (let alone master), tearing off a burning Eric Johnson-like solo, teaching his passions, or blowing what he affectionately calls "sloppy singer songwriter harmonica" to one of his new tunes, there's a freshness and a sincerity that grabs the heart and soul of anyone listening.
Sean has traveled many musical highways and, contrary to many who have explored those paths and mastered them, he has achieved mastery while retaining the mind of the beginner....for he is always challenging himself. And as any serious musician knows, when you are courageous enough to push yourself in that way, going back to "square one" is not only mandatory, it's refreshing.
So I see Sean as the eternal student. That also makes him a continual teacher as well. A true teacher is more than just a master - he or she is a fellow traveler, a true companion to the student because of the clairvoyant ability to divine just where a student is in their progress, and the intuition to give them just what they need in the moment.
I've worked with many teachers on my musical journey, many excellent players, but few have had the ability and the interest to do this for their students. Sean Weaver has the gift, and cares enough to use it.
For those of you considering working with Sean, as a teacher or as fellow performer, I can't help but expect that you'll find the experience richly rewarding. And, knowing Sean, probably a whole lot of fun as well."
